About Us
Our founder's journey is one of unwavering dedication and pioneering spirit. A Vietnam War veteran, he was among the first in Texas to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement from the inaugural university in the state to offer such a program. His involvement was instrumental in the establishment and funding of this groundbreaking degree. His career path led him to a senior staff position within the Texas Governor's Office, where he founded the "Governor's Crime Prevention Program" and the "Texas Crime Prevention Institute" in 1974. Through these initiatives, he played a pivotal role in training approximately 30,000 Texas police officers, as well as a few hundred police officers from other states and military police supervisors. Today, almost every police force in Texas operates a "Crime Prevention" section, a testament to his lasting impact.
The journey to developing the Xtreme Portable Door Lock has been anything but smooth. The concept first emerged in 1967, and it took decades of persistent experimentation and innovation to bring it to fruition. Our founder, transitioning from a dedicated public servant to an inventive entrepreneur, faced numerous struggles along the way. The process was marked by countless trials and errors, with each experiment bringing new insights and challenges. Despite these obstacles, his unwavering commitment to safety and security never faltered. After years of refining ideas and overcoming setbacks, the final development and patenting of the Xtreme Portable Door Lock were achieved within the last eight years. This arduous journey highlights the resilience and determination required to turn a visionary concept into a reality.
